Action Prostate Cancer (APC), a programme of the Irish Cancer Society, aims is to become the leading provider of prostate cancer information and support in Ireland. APC incorporates the Prostate Cancer Information
Service which is staffed by specialist cancer nurses and
which provides expert information, support and advice to those affected
by prostate cancer and those who care for them.
Action Prostate Cancer is launching its annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Week for 2009 as 10,000 people sought information on prostate health with 82% of enquiries from men over last three years

The Irish Cancer Society has been running a series of national public meetings raising awareness of prostate cancer. These Men Against Cancer / Action Prostate Cancer meetings have been very successful to date.
